For five years the artists traveled to 11 countries and 37 cities to fulfill their quest of chronicling the adventure and drama surrounding painting subways in Asia. This book is a compilation of stories and photographs that outline the artists’ experiences on their 5 year journey to the biggest cities and most obscure regions of the world’s largest continent. The project called PROBATION VACATION: LOST IN ASIA is separated in two: THE VIDEO SERIES With the video footage they created 12 original episodes, that allow us to follow U&E and experience a small part of the action and to celebrate the accomplishment of their goals. This series was (and continue to be) released online for free. Episode 1 – Turkey, Episode 2 – India, Episode 3- Thailand, Episode 4 – Malaysia, Episode 5 – Singapore, Episode 6 – Philippines THE BOOK The second part of the project is held in a book. A book that tell us the stories, the experiences and the emotions they had along the way. This personal regard introduce us to details and situations, which we can’t see or understand in their videos. Together with a selection of their best photographies, the book will complete the experience and set a new milestone in the modern history of graffiti.
